Note - Anywhere in here where the number
of minutes is set with 2 - : - 0 - 0, for example, can be set using
just 2. Either way will work here - the longer form is used here to
better describe how to enter the time in various situations.
Setting
the Main Game Time
Press
GAME MODE to ensure the score clock is ready. Press ENTER, the length
of the period you want to have (using numbers separated by a colon),
then CLOCK SET.
Example
- the main game time needs to be set to 15 minutes
ENTER
1 - 5 - : - 0 - 0 CLOCK SET
This
also comes in handy when having to reset the time if the clock happened
to be started or stopped early.
Setting
the Period
Press
ENTER, the number of period you want it to be, then PERIOD.
Setting
Goals
There are two ways to set the score:
1)
Manually setting each goal when it happens
This is as simple as ENTER, the number of goals the team has, then HOME/GUEST
SCORE
Example
- the HOME team just scored a goal to go ahead 3-2
ENTER
- 3 - HOME SCORE
2)
Adding a goal to the total each time one is scored
When you press SCORE on either the HOME or GUEST side, the score will
automatically go up 1.
Setting Penalties
Setting
penalties works similar to setting the game time, except that once you
finish, instead of the readout saying "PERIOD", it will say
"PLAYER". Here, you simply type in the number of the player.
Setting penalties works similar to setting the game time, except that
instead of using CLOCK SET, you are using either HOME or GUEST PENALTY.
Example
- white receives 2 minutes for slashing, and white is the home team
ENTER
- 2 - : - 0 - 0 - HOME PENALTY
To enter a second penalty, press HOME/GUEST PENALTY until Penalty 2
is shown on the display panel, and repeat the same procedure as above
for setting penalties.
Erasing
Penalties
To
take penalties off, press ENTER, then 0, then HOME or GUEST PENALTY,
depending on the side which has the penalty you want to clear.
For clearing a penalty that is not Penalty 1, press HOME or GUEST PENALTY,
depending on the side which has the penalty you want to clear, until
you get to the penalty you would like to clear. Once this is done, you
can then use ENTER, then 0, then HOME or GUEST PENALTY.
Remember - if you do not scroll to the
penalty you want to clear, the first penalty that is up on the score
board will be cleared instead.
Example
- Two penalties against the GUEST - the second penalty has 1:32 left,
the first penalty has 0:10 left. The second player's penalty is cancelled
by the goal
Press
GUEST PENALTY until you see the penalty in the readout (Guest Penalty
2). Now press ENTER, then 0, then HOME or GUEST PENALTY.
More
Than Two Penalties Running At Once
If
there are more than two penalties assessed to either the HOME or VISITOR
side, the scoreboard knows that only two penalties can run for one team
at any given time. So if three penalties are set for one side, only
the first two that were entered will run. Once one of the penalties
has expired, it will come off the scoreboard, and the third penalty
will then be displayed, and will begin counting down.
Turning off the Interval Horn
If the interval horn is running, the best thing to do is turn the clock
off and enter everything again. To turn off the clock, press CLEAR for
5 seconds, and everything will reset to 0.
